Nice Work, AA Insurance

Following my last post about drivers, I've started looking into insurance for my classic car.

From AA Insurance - isn't this hilarious?

"You do not have to pay an excess for theft claims if you ascertain the name and address of the person who stole your vehicle and you provide us with that information."

  1. OK this warrants a bit more research. I mean, 90% sure it's an annoying redundancy. 10% of me wants to know (with a professional background in investigations)if I can exploit this somehow. This just may be my new insurance company.
Every time a car of mine has been stolen, it would have been *possible* for me to obtain these details. However, in each occasion, I have reclaimed the vehicle after a few days.
IF the car sustained damages ... is this covered by that specific part of the policy?
